Reshani Takshila, Lashani Chethana and Thimali Takshila, who successfully completed the first phase of the short course “Investigating tobacco industry interference on public health policies and actions”, successfully commenced the second phase on 17th May 2026.

They initiated the discussion with 40 Dhamma school students aged from 12 to 16 at the Sri Tissa Dhamma School in the Mahindodaramaya Temple in the Mihintale Divisional Secretariat Division of the Anuradhapura District. The tactics of the tobacco industry were discussed in parallel with World No Tobacco Day on May 31. The way to raise awareness among other students and the community was further discussed, and the posters were displayed around the Dhamma school.
