A short course to Investigate Tobacco Industry Interference
A short course on ‘Investigating tobacco industry interference on public health policies and actions’ was successfully launched on 17th March 2024, jointly organized by the Center for Combating Tobacco (CCT) and Young Professionals’ Alliance for Health (YouPAH).
The short course was opened for Journalists or training to be journalists, health professionals or training to be health professionals, community development workers or anyone interested. The course is comprised of physically held workshops in Colombo on two Sundays with weekly Zoom sessions and self-directed learning for six weeks in between.
Seventeen applicants were selected based on the potential impact on the well-being of the public of Sri Lanka. The medium of the short course is Sinhala and no course fee is applied. Refreshments and transport allowance will be provided for physical workshops. A valuable Certificate of competence will be awarded for successful completion of the course.
