The 51 st Union Conference on Lung Health, 20 th -24 th October 2020

The Union World Conference on Lung Health is the largest assembly of activists, policy makers, researchers and community advocates on lung health in the world. Tobacco control is one of the major fields covered by the conference. The 51 st Union World Conference on Lung Health was held from 20 th to 24 th October 2020, virtually due to the global crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic. Participation at the conference has been a very successful experience for the Centre for Combating Tobacco (CCT), earning recognition for the tobacco industry observatory in Sri Lanka.

CCT team represented by Ms. Chinthika Perera made four presentations listed below highlighting their tobacco industry monitoring activities under the theme of ‘Ongoing battle against the tobacco industry’.
